Dear Friends and Family,
Even though it may seem like I have fallen off the face of the earth, I haven't... I'm still here. Don't give up hope just yet! :)
Well, during the past few months, Sam and I have seen Nate grow and amaze us with his incredible memory and brain power! His latest obsessions are: Blue's Clues, Grandma's arroz, and coming in at a very strong first place is: Thomas the Train and Friends. He really enjoys watching the show and gets so excited EVERY TIME - like he barely ever watches it - yeah, right! He also tries to put his toy cars 'together'; in the same manner the trains buffer up together... it's amazing how observant he is... Now that Mommy is back at school *sigh*, he gets to have a great teacher all day long - my mom! At this point, he tries to sing the ABC song and can pretty much say all the letters in the alphabet. He is also recognizing print around the house - usually on my t-shirts! He'll point and say, "ABC's" over and over. He knows his basic shapes and colors and loves to be read to. It seems like every day he is learning something new! Where oh where has my little baby gone!?!
Before I forget (not that I would ever mean to), I have to get this memory down... Every night we put Nate to sleep, he repeats a few words: "Night-night, Mommy. Love you. Bendicion." Tonight was no different, but a few minutes after I put him in his crib, I had to go back into his room to get something. I saw him raise his little head up, and so I said "Night-night" in the hopes of 'reminding' him that he should be getting to sleep... he repeated it and then said, "love you" which when he says it sounds like "what-do"... It's moments like these that make all the challenges of being a mom melt away and all there is is this wonderful, amazing little person who knows me. And still loves me.
Thanks for not giving up hope on this blog... I will get pics up soon. If I don't post beforehand, have a wonderful Thanksgiving! And don't forget ~ Puerto Rico Discovery Day on the 19th! :)
